Biography: Dr. Kneeman is an interventional pain physician who completed residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at the University of Washington in Seattle. He then moved to Chicago to complete an interventional pain fellowship at Northwestern University in Chicago, during which he learned state-of-the-art techniques to help manage complex musculoskeletal and spinal conditions. His clinical interests include musculoskeletal and nerve-related pain disorders, including interventional treatments for neuropathic pain, complex regional pain syndrome, spinal stenosis, vertebral compression fractures, and persistent pain after surgery. His goal is to offer opiate-sparing alternatives to help improve both pain and function. Originally from Tucson, AZ, Dr. Kneeman has enjoyed establishing roots in his new hometown of Kansas City. He enjoys spending time with family, playing soccer, reading, and listening to music in his spare time.

Biography: Dr. Cowan is a Kansas City native who returns to join DFP as a Sports Medicine fellowship-trained Orthopaedic Surgeon. He received his undergraduate degree from Kansas State University, his medical and master's degrees from the University of Kansas, and completed his orthopaedic residency at the University of Kansas in Kansas City, KS.As part of his fellowship at the TRIA Orthopaedic Center in Minneapolis/St. Paul, MN, Dr. Cowan provided medical care for NHL's Minnesota Wild, MLB's Minnesota Twins, Gustavus-Adolphus college football, and area high schools. His interests are in athletic injuries to people of all ages including ACL reconstruction, multi-ligamentous knee injuries, rotator cuff repairs, and many more procedures for the knee, shoulder, and elbow.When not taking care of patients, Dr. Cowan enjoys spending time with his wife, three children, and extended family. He also enjoys fitness, travel, and cooking.

Biography: Gregory Barnhill, DO, is a board-certified orthopedic physician with Orthopedic Surgeons, Inc., and he is affiliated with Research Medical Center Brookside Campus in Kansas City, Missouri. He has special interest in treating muscle, bone and joint ailments, sports injuries, degenerative diseases and disorders, and joint replacement surgery. Dr. Barnhill completed medical training at Kansas City University and Normandy Osteopathic Hospital. He holds active memberships in the American Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedics, American Osteopathic Association, Missouri Association of Osteopathic Physicians & Surgeons, and Jackson County Osteopathic Association. He is also an assistant professor of surgery at Kansas City University.

Care Philosophy: While pursuing my undergraduate degree in organismal biology at the University of Kansas, I was a wide receiver on the Kansas Jayhawks football team. This experience helped give me special insight and compassion for sports-related injuries. My approach to patient care is somewhat like what was instilled in me in playing football and other sports. I see my relationship with my patients as a team effort. My goal is that we make decisions together based on what they need and want from the care I provide.

Care Philosophy: Dr. Cullen believes that medical care should be personalized and tailored to each individual patient. He takes an evidence-based approach to formulating either a conservative or surgical treatment plan based on the patient's individual needs. His goal is to restore function and improve quality of life allowing patients to pursue their passions.

With cutting edge surgical techniques, we are able to optimize medical outcomes and ensure people can remain healthy and active to achieve their health and life goals.
