Biography: Stephen Cheng, MD is a transplant surgeon at Medical City Abdominal Transplant & Hepatobiliary Specialists in Dallas. Dr. Cheng earned his medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin. He completed both his general surgery internship and residency at Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland, Oregon. Dr. Cheng completed his multi-organ fellowship at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. He is board certified by the American Board of Surgery in general surgery and he is a member of the American Society of Transplant Surgeons, and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Cheng's clinical interests include liver, kidney and pancreas transplantation and surgical treatments of liver, bile duct, and pancreas tumors.

Biography: Dr. David Phillips received his medical degree in 1988 from the University of Texas Health Sciences Center San Antonio. Afterwards, he completed his Urology Residency at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center San Antonio Affiliated Hospitals. During his residency, Dr. Phillips serviced as Chief Resident from July 1993 – June 1994. Dr. Phillips has over 20 years experience as a urologist. Within our practice, he has pioneered the use of innovative treatments for patients with advancing prostate cancer. Along with his colleagues, Dr. Vic Desireddi and Dr. Richard Garza, Dr. Phillips serves as part of Urology Austin's Advancing Prostate Cancer Care Team. This team manages patients with prostate cancer recurrence after initial local therapy such as robotic prostatectomy or radiation. Care approaches include newer medical oncolytics (Xtandi, Zytiga, and Erleada) and immunotherapies (Provenge). Dr. Phillips has been recognized as a ``Top Doctor`` under the category of Urology in the January 2019 edition of Austin Monthly Magazine. He also received this designation in 2014, 2015, 2017 and 2018. In addition, he was named a 'Super Doctor' by Texas Monthly Magazine from 2005 through 2019.

Biography: Dr. Varun Sundaram received both his undergraduate and medical degrees from Washington University in St. Louis. After eight years in St. Louis, he moved to Dallas, Texas, where he completed his general surgery and urologic surgery training at UT Southwestern. During his training, Dr. Sundaram developed an interest in advanced robotic surgery of the prostate, bladder, and kidney. He is well versed in treatments for benign prostatic hyperplasia ranging from robotic simple prostatectomy for very enlarged prostates to newer minimally invasive options, such as rezum or urolift, for medium and small sized glands. Dr. Sundaram also offers more traditional methods, such as transurethral resection of the prostate, laser ablation of the prostate, and transurethral incision of the prostate.

Biography: Dr. Elizabeth Mobley knew, from a very young age, that she wanted to be a surgeon and worked diligently towards that goal. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Georgia Honors Program, completing a Bachelor of Science Degree in Honors Interdisciplinary Studies. From there, she completed her Doctor of Medicine at the Medical College of Georgia. Dr. Mobley pursued her urology training at the University of Utah, where she was appointed as the Chief Urology Resident during her final year. Following her residency, she completed fellowship training in general urology with a focus on female pelvic floor reconstruction and urologic oncology at North Shore Hospital in Auckland, New Zealand. While Elizabeth Mobley enjoys working with both male and female patients, she has a strong interest in male urology, including the management of Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH or enlarged prostate) through the use of minimally invasive therapies such as UroLift. Dr. Mobley's interests also include male and female urinary incontinence, vasectomies, low testosterone in males and females, voiding dysfunction, pelvic floor prolapse (cystocele, uterine or vaginal fault prolapse with enterocele, and rectocele), kidney stone disease, renal masses and bladder masses. She is trained in open, laparoscopic and robotic techniques. Dr. Mobley has been published in peer-reviewed journals and has spoken at many meetings and educational activities. The focus of her research and publications has broadly regarded topics related to outcomes following surgical correction of Peyronie's disease, penile length following inflatable penile prosthetic surgery, and antimicrobial use during urologic prosthetic surgery.
