Bottiglieri, DO, is a specialist in the non-operative management of complex medical conditions affecting athletic participation, including chronic and acute injuries affecting the bones, joints, and muscles of pediatric and adult patients. In addition, he is an expert in the field of concussion care and management, and focuses on a patient-centered approach to patient care that stresses shared decision making with his patients and their families.

Biography: Elan L. Goldwaser, DO, is a sports medicine physician specializing in the non-operative management of complex musculoskeletal conditions affecting athletic participation, including chronic and acute injuries affecting the bones, joints, and muscles of pediatric and adult patients. Dr. Goldwaser's training as an osteopathic physician provides additional treatment approaches to promote healing through a variety of options and tailored patient care. As an experienced team physician to high school, collegiate, and professional athletes, Dr. Goldwaser is accustomed to treating injuries sustained in the acute setting of sporting events including: management of concussions, tendon injuries, and leg somatic dysfunctions (including Achilles/Patellar tendonitis). As a former cross-country, track and field, and swimming collegiate athlete, Dr. Goldwaser understands the athlete's need to return to sport and is dedicated to helping people of all levels achieve this. He attended The College of New Jersey where he completed his Bachelor's in Biology, and later went on to Rowan-SOM for medical school and residency. Before coming to Columbia Orthopedics, Dr. Goldwaser completed a sports medicine fellowship at Lehigh Valley Health Network in Allentown, PA, honing skills in ultrasound diagnostics and minimally invasive sports medicine interventional procedures. Dr. Goldwaser's research spans multiple specialties which include: concussion management, prevention and recovery, biologic injections in injury recovery, and exploring healing rates after ultrasound-guided procedural interventions. When time allows, he enjoys running marathons, traveling, and playing Scrabble with his family.

His practice is focused on minimally invasive surgical treatments for both common and complex spinal conditions, including disc herniation, spinal stenosis, spondylolisthesis, and spinal deformity. Dr. Lombardi leverages the latest surgical technology – robotics, guided navigation, and advanced instrumentation – to provide patients with tailored surgical procedures, accelerated recovery times, and superior outcomes.

Biography: Dr. Alexander Neuwirth is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in advanced hip and knee reconstruction, with a focus on non-operative and surgical treatment of early, middle, and late-stage arthritic conditions of the hip and knee. For patients requiring surgical intervention, Dr. Neuwirth specializes in anterior approach hip replacement, knee replacements, as well as complex revision surgeries to treat failed hip and knee replacements. Dr. Neuwirth received his medical degree from Rutgers University-Robert Wood Johnson Medical School, where he also completed his undergraduate degree. Following medical school, Dr. Neuwirth trained as a resident in orthopedic surgery at the University of Pennsylvania, where he also spent a year as a postdoctoral research fellowship in the McKay Orthopaedic Research Laboratory. Before joining the faculty at Columbia as an attending physician, Dr. Neuwirth completed a fellowship in adult hip and knee reconstruction at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Neuwirth is actively engaged in ongoing clinical outcomes research in the field of joint replacement and reconstruction. His primary research efforts are focused on the eradication of infection following hip and knee replacements.
