Dr. Gutierrez is trained in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support and Electronic Fetal Monitoring. She has also received training in the da Vinci Surgery method, which is a minimally invasive robotic surgical technique to diagnose and treat gynecologic and fertility issues, such as endometriosis and uterine fibroids.As an assistant to the Office of Academic Enhancement at the University of Texas Health Science Center, Dr. Gutierrez shared her expertise with the next generation of doctors. She instructed first year medical students and continues to seek out academic and research opportunities.Proficient in Spanish, Dr. Gutierrez volunteered with International Service Learning, providing medical care to underserved populations in Nicaragua.
