Dr. Bowers received her Bachelor of Science in Biology from Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas, in 1997. She earned her medical degree at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio in 2003, where she also completed residency in 2006. She was a faculty member in the Division of General and Hospital Medicine at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio from 2006 to 2019 and was promoted to Associate Professor. Biography: Dr. Penrose is a Board Certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist who has been affiliated with the Medical Center of Aurora since 2000. In 2003 she founded Generations OB/GYN in Aurora, CO. Originally from California she moved to Colorado to attend the University of Colorado, Boulder, Vermont to attend the University of Vermont College of Medicine and then Michigan for her residency. Dr. Penrose served as Administrative Chief Resident during her last year of training. Since returning to Colorado in 2000 she has provided guidance and medical expertise in a quaint and attentive office setting. A Generalist by training qualifying her in every aspect of women's health, obstetrics or gynecology, through every decade of your life. She is the only single site robotic surgeon in the metro Denver area; a virtually scar-less surgery. Gynecologic surgeries that required 3-day hospitalization can now be performed through a small incision in the belly bottom AND you can go home the same day! Less pain and a quicker recovery enabling you to return to your normal life sooner.In her free time Dr. Penrose enjoys spending time with her husband, eldest daughter and boy/girl twins. She unwind from life by yoga, skiing, surfing and walking her two dogs.
