Biography: Bert Holmes, III, MD, is an internist and primary care physician with Primary Health Group - Short Pump in the West End of Richmond, Virginia. Dr. Holmes earned his medical doctorate from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee, where he also completed a residency in internal medicine. Prior to medical school, he earned both a master's degree in medical science and a bachelor's degree in biology from Hampton University. Dr. Holmes is board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). He is well-known for his caring approach and exceptional commitment to his patients, and understands the importance of considering their perspective when making a diagnosis or recommending a treatment. When not seeing patients, Dr. Holmes enjoys spending time with his family and volunteering for Habitat for Humanity. Dr. Holmes is now accepting new patients and referrals.
