He earned his medical degree from the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University, where he was the recipient of the Weinberger Award for distinction in Hematology and Medical Oncology and was inducted into the Gold Humanism Honor Society. He completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, where he led several quality improvement initiatives as part of the Healthcare Leadership in Quality program. He continued his medical training at New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medicine, where he completed his clinical fellowship in Hematology and Medical Oncology, having served as chief fellow during his final year. Dr. Swed cares for patients with a broad array of hematologic and oncologic diseases, with a particular focus on treating patients with gastrointestinal (GI) cancers. He has also been involved in several translational and clinical research projects focused on novel therapies for pancreatic cancer and was selected to participate in the 2021 AACR-ASCO Methods in Clinical Cancer Research Workshop to further develop this work.

Biography: Peter Gregos, M.D., M.S. is an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College and an Attending Physician at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital. Dr. Gregos specializes in treating patients with a wide variety of hematological (blood) disorders and cancers, with a focus in genitourinary cancers. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from Fordham University and a Master's degree in Biomedical Science from Barry University. Dr. Gregos received his medical degree with high honors from Ross University School of Medicine. He then completed his Internal Medicine internship and residency at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital where he also completed his fellowship in Hematology and Medical Oncology. Dr. Gregos was named Physician of the Year at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital in 2019.
