Biography: Maqbool Ahmed, MD, is a board-certified and fellowship-trained neurologist with Neurological Associates in Richmond, Virginia. Dr. Ahmed earned his medical degree from Dow University of Health Sciences in Pakistan. He then completed a residency in neurology at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City. He then went on to complete a fellowship in clinical neurophysiology (epilepsy/EEG, neuromuscular/EMG) at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee. Dr. Ahmed is board-certified in neurology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He provides patients with nearly two decades of neurology expertise including many years of experience in inpatient and outpatient neurology. He sees a variety of general neurology patients including but not limited to headaches and migraine, seizures, movement disorders, neuromuscular issues, neuropathy, dementia/memory/cognitive issues, and other neurological conditions. He is also expertly trained in electroencephalogram (EEG) and electromyography (EMG).
