Biography: William Davis, III, M.D., is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon at Baptist Health, specializing in sports medicine. He speaks English and conversational Spanish. Prior to joining Baptist Health in 2023, Dr. Davis worked for the Musculoskeletal Institute at Duly Health and Care as an orthopedic sports medicine surgeon. He served as the academic lead for Duly Health Cares Sports Medicine group and as the head team physician and medical director for North Central College Athletics. After earning his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine, Dr. Davis completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Medstar Georgetown University Hospital. He then continued his education with his orthopedic sports medicine fellowship at Baptist Health Doctors Hospital UHZ Sports Medicine Institute and a foot and ankle surgery fellowship at Baptist Health Orthopedic Institute. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Davis is a faculty instructor at the Florida International University Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine. His research on improving outcomes for sports-related injuries can be found in peer-reviewed publications such as Current Orthopaedic Practice and Foot and Ankle Clinics. Dedicated to whole-patient health, Dr. Davis offers comprehensive treatments and postoperative care to help people get back to their busy lives. Care Philosophy: I am an enthusiastic and warm orthopaedic specialist focusing in foot and ankle disease. I am a well-rounded surgeon with extensive experience in forefoot disease, arthritis, sports, trauma, and diabetes. I have a comprehensive approach to manage foot and ankle disorders and sport-related injuries with the goal of returning patients to their activities of choice.I have 8 years of experience in the military treating elite athletes and special forces patients, taking into consideration their unique goals and limitations with the aim of returning them quickly to high-impact sport. He completed his residency training at the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL and fellowship training at the internationally renowned Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, IL. He earned his bachelor of science at Emory University and earned his medical degree at the University of South Florida. Dr. Anijar offers the full spectrum of pain medicine services ranging from holistic medical treatments to minimally invasive pain procedures. He has extensive experience treating a variety of pain conditions including axial low back pain, cervical neck pain, lumbar radiculopathy, complex regional pain syndrome, and neuropathic pain. He has a special interest in spinal cord stimulation, spinal stenosis treatments, and interspinous drug delivery systems and is excited to bring his skillset home to South Florida.
