Biography: Keith Hechtman, M.D., is a dual Board-certified orthopedic surgeon with Miami Orthopedics & Sports Medicine Institute and a member of Baptist Health Medical Group, an organization of more than 18 physicians in multiple specialties closely aligned with Baptist Health South Florida. He specializes in both sports medicine and arthroscopy of the shoulder, elbow, knee and ankle. He is the head team physician for Florida International University and assistant team physician for the Florida Panthers hockey team. Over 2 years ago, he helped establish the relationship between Miami-Dade County Public Schools and Doctors Hospital to improve the healthcare of student athletes. Dr. Hechtman also serves as a clinical instructor for physician assistants and athletic trainers at Barry University, Miami Dade College and Nova Southeastern University. He was a physician for the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta. He is a professor in the department of orthopedics at Florida International University's Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine, clinical associate professor in the department of orthopedics and rehabilitation at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and a voluntary associate professor in the department of exercise & sport sciences at the University of Miami. During his service as an orthopedic surgeon in the U.S. military's Operation Desert Storm, he was awarded various commendation medals. Zvijac, M.D., is a fellowship-trained physician with dual Board-certification in orthopedic surgery and orthopedic sports medicine with Miami Orthopedics & Sports Medicine Institute and a member of Baptist Health Medical Group, an organization of more than 18 physicians in multiple specialties closely aligned with Baptist Health South Florida. From 1998 to 214, he was head team orthopedic surgeon for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He is also a team physician for the Florida Panthers and Florida International University and medical director of the Miami-Dade County Public Schools high school athletics program. Dr. Zvijac specializes in sports medicine and surgery of the shoulder, elbow and knee. He is a founding partner of UHZ Sports Medicine Institute (uhzsmi.com) and has served as both chief of surgery and chief of staff at Doctors Hospital. Dr. Zvijac is an adjunct professor in the departments of orthopedic surgery and exercise and sports sciences at Florida International UniversityGs Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine. He is currently the Florida delegate for the American Orthopaedic Society for sports medicine. Recognized as one of the ``Best Doctors in America`` annually for the past several years, he is the author of many articles and book chapters and has presented on a variety of sports medicine topics worldwide. Biography: Luis Rodriguez, M.D., is a primary care sports medicine physician with Miami Orthopedics & Sports Medicine Institute and a member of Baptist Health Medical Group, an organization of more than 18 physicians in multiple specialties integrated within Baptist Health South Florida. He specializes in non-surgical treatments for acute, overuse and chronic orthopedic problems, with a special interest in concussions in sports, fracture care, musculoskeletal ultrasound and sports cardiology. Dr. Rodriguez received his medical degree from the Luis Razetti School of Medicine at Universidad Central de Venezuela in Caracas, where he was awarded the Outstanding Performance Award by Subject. He completed an internship and residency in internal medicine at Cleveland Clinic Florida, and a fellowship in primary care sports medicine at UHS Wilson Memorial Hospital in Johnson City, N.Y. He has served as team physician for the U.S. Ski Team, the Binghamton Senators ice hockey team and a variety of college, high school and league sports, including baseball, basketball and football. He is Board-certified in primary care sports medicine and is a member of the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine and the American College of Sports Medicine.

Biography: Mariana De Michele, M.D., is a board-certified primary care physician at Baptist Health. Dr. De Michele specializes in womens health, weight management and preventative medicine, including diabetes prevention. She is fluent in Spanish, English and Italian. Dr. De Michele is also a clinical faculty at Baptist Health for the upcoming internal medicine residency program. Prior to joining Baptist Health in 2022, Dr. De Michele worked as a clinical assistant professor of internal medicine for Michigan Medicine, the academic medical center of the University of Michigan. She was also a clinical assistant professor at Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine and the director of Cleveland Clinics public walk-in clinic. Dr. De Micheles research includes diabetes prevention, pre-diabetes, physician education and the improvement of healthcare access. Her work is published in the Journal of General Internal Medicine and the Journal of Medical Internet Research. She is also a member of the American College of Physicians Dr. De Michele received several awards from the University of Michigan and Cleveland Clinic Foundation, including the Caring with Excellence Award and the Steven E. Gradwohl Excellence in Continuity General Medicine Teaching Award, which she won twice. She also received three times the Making a Difference Award, a recognition given by patients.
