Care Philosophy: As an athlete throughout my life and a rabid sports fan, I have always had a special passion for the field of sports medicine. I enjoy treating athletes from all walks of life - from the pediatric sports injury to the weekend warrior with arthritis pain, my focus is getting patients back to their sport and their passion. What few people recognize is that sports medicine is an integrated field that requires several moving parts: coaches, athletic trainers, physical therapists, primary care physicians, and orthopedic surgeons when needed. As a team physician for the University of South Alabama, I am again working with a team of experts who share a common goal: to keep athletes safe and to return them to the field after an injury.

Biography: Dr. Calvin Dyer, MD is an Orthopedic Surgery Specialist who practices in Hendersonville, TN. He is 64 years old and has been practicing for 37 years. Dr. Calvin Dyer, MD is affiliated with TriStar Hendersonville Medical Center and TriStar Skyline Medical Center.

Biography: Dr. Martha George, MD is an Orthopedic Surgery Specialist who practices in Mount Juliet, TN. She is 44 years old and has been practicing for 32 years. Dr. Martha George, MD is affiliated with Tristar Summit Medical Center.

Biography: Dr. Grutter is an orthopaedic surgeon specializing in shoulder surgery, arthroscopic surgery and joint replacement. He trained at Johns Hopkins and is board certified in both Orthopaedic surgery and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine and is fellowship trained in Shoulder and Elbow surgery. Dr. Grutter was previously an assistant Orthopaedic surgeon for the Baltimore Orioles and has provided Orthopaedic care for numerous Navy SEALs, Army Rangers, Polish and British Special Forces as well as the US Navy, Air Force, Marines, Army and Coast Guard. Having been a former collegiate scholarship athlete, Dr. Grutter commonly cares for athletes of all kinds. Dr. Grutter played on two NCAA Division II playoff football teams and was the team captain of the 1994 team which finished ranked 9th in the nation. He was a 1st team MIAA All-Conference inside linebacker and a NCAA Division II All-American.
