Biography: Dr. Sarkis founded Sarkis Family Psychiatry in 1991 and Sarkis Clinical Trials in 1998 in Gainesville, FL. After graduation from City College of New York, Dr. Sarkis completed medical school at the Faculty of Medicine, Lille, France. He did his residency and child and adolescent fellowship at the University of Florida. He has been the principal investigator in over 200 clinical trials in psychiatric and neuropsychiatric areas such as ADHD, MDD, Autism, Migraine Disorders, and Bipolar Affective Disorder. He recently completed a pivotal COVID-19 antibody treatment trail. He has been on several speaker bureaus and was a member of a Lilly National Advisory Board. He has published extensively in peer reviewed journals including a letter in the Journal of Science. Dr. Sarkis is active in organized medicine notably serving as President of the Florida Psychiatric Society in 2002-2003 and a member of the Advocacy Committee of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. He is board certified in Psychiatry and in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Dr. Sarkis is a Major League Baseball Certified Clinician. Along with his staff, Dr. Sarkis has started an annual Stop the Stigma mental health fair with emphasis on children's activities. The Seventh Annual Fair was held in March 2019. The Sherriff and the Mayor, both advocates of mental health, addressed the crowd of over 400 attendees and 30 sponsors.
