Care Philosophy: As an experienced Minimally Invasive and Bariatric surgeon, I take a highly personal approach in caring for my patients. I believe the most important aspect of providing quality care is establishing a good relationship with my patients and involving them in the treatment plan. For me, each patient who walks through the door is treated like a family member, and this belief, guides me in my clinical decisions.

Care Philosophy: Dr. Fishman's approach to the care of his patients comes from the adage that in order to care for people, you have to care about people. He tries to make his patients feel as though they are a friend or family member. He enjoys working in a collaborative manner with his patients to help educate and inform them to make the best decision as to what they want done for their bodies.

Care Philosophy: Dr. Welle is incredibly humbled by the opportunity to serve his patients. He believes each patient is unique in their presentation and deserves the care and attention that best suites their individual needs. He is very excited to serve the Kansas City community that he calls home.

Biography: Dr. Freyaldenhoven calls the Midwest her home. She grew up in Tulsa, Oklahoma and has lived in Kansas City for the last 20 years. Dr. Freyaldenhoven attended the University of Kansas. She obtained an undergraduate degree in Psychology and was part of the University Honors program. She then attended medical school at the University of Oklahoma and was awarded membership in the Alpha Omega Alpha society indicating top 10 percentile of her graduating class.Dr. Freyaldenhoven moved to Kansas City in 2000 and completed her internship and residency at the University of Kansas Medical School. She then began working in Kansas City at her current practice. She is board certified in general surgery with the American Board of Surgery and is a Fellow in the American College of Surgeons.Dr. Freyaldenhoven also enjoys being a mom to two children and spending time with her husband, friends, and family.
