Biography: Dr. Philip Balikian is a board certified Orthopedic Surgeon specializing in sports medicine, adult reconstructive surgery, hand and upper extremity. He grew up in Boston and graduated with honors from Tufts University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology. Dr. Balikian completed his medical school and residency in Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center, in Worcester MA. Dr. Balikian lives in San Diego with his wife and two children. Prior to joining Arch Health Medical Group in 2006, he was in private practice in Kentucky for 6 years. Dr. Balikian enjoys painting, cooking, gardening and traveling. He is committed to giving back to his community and has traveled to Armenia for several orthopedic missions. As an active person himself, mainly in surfing, volleyball, and skiing, he understands what it means to be active, injured, and what it takes to return to high-level athletics. Dr. Kramer has been practicing as an orthopedic surgeon in Newport Beach, CA for 17 years. He currently operates at Newport Center Surgical. He has been a master instructor for the Arthroscopy Association of North America for knee and shoulder surgery. Dr. Kramer has also been a leading surgeon in hip arthroscopy for the last 17 years.
