Care Philosophy: Jason Smith, DO, joined AdventHealth Medical Group's surgical group in Lake County from Beaumont Hospital in Farmington Hills, MI, where he completed his general surgery residency. He is a graduate of the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor and earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree at Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale. Dr. Smith provides surgical consultations in his office in Tavares and operates at AdventHealth Waterman

Care Philosophy: Dr. McNamee is Board Certified in General Surgery and he specializes in General and Advanced Laparoscopic Surgery. He currently serves as the Chief Medical Officer at Florida Hospital Zephyrhills. During his many years at Florida Hospital, he has served in positions such as Chief of Staff Elect, Chief of Surgery and Chairman of the Medical Staff Quality Review Committee at Florida Hospital Zephyrhills. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS).

Care Philosophy: Christopher J. Keeler, DO, is a board-certified general surgeon. A graduate of the University of Utah, Dr. Keeler earned his medical degree at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine before going on to complete a residency in general surgery at the Metro Health Hospital in Wyoming, MI where he achieved the rank of Co-Chief Resident. Prior to joining AdventHealth, Dr. Keeler served as Chief of Surgery at Good Shepherd Health Care System in Hermiston, OR.

Services are provided in the areas of breast surgery and biopsies, thyroid and parathyroid disorders, diverticular disease, hernias, reflux surgery, colon and rectal cancer, hemorrhoids - with a track record of success. Lap band surgery is also provided for bariatric patients. We have expertise in laparoscopy and da Vinci robotic surgery. We believe that "patients have a right to considerate, respectful care."
