Biography: Mariana De Michele, M.D., is a board-certified primary care physician at Baptist Health. Dr. De Michele specializes in womens health, weight management and preventative medicine, including diabetes prevention. She is fluent in Spanish, English and Italian. Dr. De Michele is also a clinical faculty at Baptist Health for the upcoming internal medicine residency program. She was also a clinical assistant professor at Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine and the director of Cleveland Clinics public walk-in clinic. She is also a member of the American College of Physicians Dr. De Michele received several awards from the University of Michigan and Cleveland Clinic Foundation, including the Caring with Excellence Award and the Steven E. Biography: William Davis, III, M.D., is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon at Baptist Health, specializing in sports medicine. He speaks English and conversational Spanish. Prior to joining Baptist Health in 2023, Dr. Davis worked for the Musculoskeletal Institute at Duly Health and Care as an orthopedic sports medicine surgeon. He served as the academic lead for Duly Health Cares Sports Medicine group and as the head team physician and medical director for North Central College Athletics. After earning his medical degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine, Dr. Davis completed his orthopedic surgery residency at Medstar Georgetown University Hospital. He then continued his education with his orthopedic sports medicine fellowship at Baptist Health Doctors Hospital UHZ Sports Medicine Institute and a foot and ankle surgery fellowship at Baptist Health Orthopedic Institute. In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Davis is a faculty instructor at the Florida International University Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine. His research on improving outcomes for sports-related injuries can be found in peer-reviewed publications such as Current Orthopaedic Practice and Foot and Ankle Clinics. Dedicated to whole-patient health, Dr. Davis offers comprehensive treatments and postoperative care to help people get back to their busy lives. He takes time to listen and review his patients concerns and collaborates with them to create recovery plans that reflect their goals. Biography: Richard Morgan, D.O., is a spine care physician at Baptist Health Miami Neuroscience Institute, specializing in physical medicine and rehabilitation. Dr. Morgan earned his osteopathic medicine degree from Nova Southeastern University and completed his physical medicine and rehabilitation residency at Larkin Community Hospital in Miami. As a physiatrist, Dr. Morgan focuses on providing rehabilitation treatment plans that help patients regain function and mobility. His clinical and research interests include diagnostic and interventional neuromuscular ultrasound, spasticity management and regenerative medicine. Dr. Morgans research has been published in medical journals, such as the Journal of Brachial Plexus and Peripheral Nerve Injury. He has also presented extensively at national medical meetings and is a member of American Osteopathic College of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Association of Academic Physiatrists and North American Spine Society. Biography: Francisco Borja, M.D., is an orthopedic surgeon with Baptist Health Orthopedic Care and a member of Baptist Health Medical Group, an organization of more than 180 physicians in multiple specialties closely aligned with Baptist Health South Florida. He specializes in hip and knee joint replacement. A native of Madrid, Dr. Borja received his medical degree from the Complutense University of Madrid and completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at St. Luke's Hospital in Cleveland. He served as the Annie C. Kane Fellow in hip and knee reconstruction at New York Orthopedic Hospital/Columbia-Presbyterian Medical Center. In 1980-1986 he was chief surgeon of the department of orthopedics and rehabilitation at the University of Miami. Dr. Borja has published in several medical journals on hip and knee joint replacement and knee surgery. He has participated in clinical research on arthritis and bone banking and has delivered numerous presentations at national and international medical meetings.
