Biography: Dr. Christopher Balamucki earned his undergraduate degree in Chemical Engineering with a double minor in Chemistry and Biology from Virginia Tech. He was the fourteenth student to be awarded the Honors Baccalaureate Degree in the history of the University Honors Program at Virginia Tech. He went on to earn his Medical Degree from Wake Forest University School of Medicine. While there, he completed an internship with Wake Forest's Baptist Medical Center. Shortly after, he arrived in Gainesville to complete his residency in Radiation Oncology at the University of Florida.While Dr. Balamucki is experienced in treating a wide range of cancers, he has researched and published his work in head & neck, skin and GI cancers in addition to trigeminal neuralgia treated with Gamma Knife Stereotactic Radiosurgery. Of note, he has a specialized interest in treating head and neck and skin cancers. Dr. Balamucki has also authored articles for the community about the connection between HPV and head & neck cancer in addition to skin cancer published in Good Life Community Magazine and online.He has been featured in Good Life Community Magazine and online.Dr. Balamucki is very passionate about cancer awareness and education within his community. He has partnered with WCJB-TV20 to increase understanding within our community of skin cancers, their impact and how to change the continuing increase of these cancers. Care Philosophy: Dr. Machado is a board-certified Oncologist and Hematologist with more than 10 years of experience. He prides himself on keeping up with the most advanced and cost effective therapies for cancer treatment. He is an advocate for the early management of discomfort and pain for cancer patients. Although chemotherapy is still frequently employed, he is excited to share new targeted and immunotherapy options with patients. Dr. Machado earned his medical degree with honors at Saba University School of Medicine in the Caribbean and undertook his residency training at the University of Florida/Shands Hospital in Gainesville, where he was named Chief Resident. He obtained his sub-specialty training at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, where he completed his Oncology/Hematology fellowship and was named Chief Fellow.

Biography: Andrea Katz, MD, is a board-certified hematologist/oncologist who earned her medical degree from The Pennsylvania State College of Medicine in Hershey, PA. She completed residency in Internal Medicine at East Carolina University in Greenville, NC, and a fellowship in hematology/oncology at Yale University in New Haven, CT. From 2017 to 2023, Dr. Katz treated patients at 21st Century Oncology in Jupiter, FL, and, before that, at The Cleveland Clinic. She has been named one of Florida's Top Doctors every year since 2018. Dr. Katz has extensive research experience in hematology/oncology and is the author of numerous publications and presentations.
