Care Philosophy: Dr Robert Wenham is a gynecologic oncologist and Chair of the Gynecologic Oncology Program at Moffitt Cancer Center. Dr Wenham has a strong interest in research and is a principal investigator for numerous clinical trials to improve cancer care for women. His research activities include the use of novel drugs for the treatment of gynecologic cancers. He has received the Molly Cade Ovarian Cancer Research Award from the Gynecologic Cancer Foundation. Desai MD, FACOG, MPH joined Manatee Gynecology in 2011. she finished her residency in obstetrics and Gynecology at Parkland Hospital-University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. Parkland Hospital is the largest oB/GyN training program in the nation and delivers more than 12,OOO babies a year.The program is recognized for authoring three major oB/GyN textbooks used to train obstetrician/gynecologists, worldwide-Williams Obstetrics, Williams Gynecology, and Essential Reproductive Medicine.After finishing her residency, she completed a fellowship in Minimallylnvasive Gynecological Surgery at the University of North Carolina,Chapel Hill where she further enhanced her skills in Laparoscopic andRobotic Surgery.While doing her fellowship, she also obtained her Master's Degree inPublic Health at the University of North Carolina, Gillings School ofPublic Health, which is ranked among the top three public healthschools in the nation. Biography: Dr. McCann is a Board-certified Gynecologic Oncologist with Florida Cancer Specialists and Research Institute in Palm Beach County. He specializes in the medical and surgical treatment of patients with ovarian, endometrial and cervical cancer, with a focus on the use of minimally invasive techniques. He has presented his research on innovations in Gynecologic Oncology Robotics and Robotic Surgery and Endometrial Cancer Staging Surgery at professional symposiums, and his work has been published in several peer-reviewed publications. Dr. McCann received his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the University of New England and completed residency training in Obstetrics & Gynecology at Saint Francis Hospital in Hartford, CT. He was awarded the Galloway Fellowship in Gynecology Service at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York, NY and also completed a fellowship in Gynecology Oncology at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. After completing his fellowship training, Dr. McCann served as an Instructor in Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Biology at Harvard Medical School Hospital and on the medical staff of Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Boston, MA and other hospitals throughout New England. He joined Florida Cancer Specialists in 2022.
