He was also recognized as having the best obstetrics and gynecology research project; ``Advancing Minimally Invasive Gynecology Worldwide,`` and as a result Dr. Ashford has been selected for special resident in Minimally Invasive Gynecology. Dr. Ashford received a 2010 membership by the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopist. Dr. Ashford graduated from Xavier University of New Orleans in Biology/Pre Medicine in 2002 and LSU School of Medicine, New Orleans Louisiana in 2006.
