Biography: Dr. Asif Mohiuddin, pronounced as "Mo-hew-din," is a Board Certified Gastroenterologist based in Central Florida. He earned his medical degree at Dow Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan, where he served as the Class Representative from 1983 to 1984. Following that, he completed his Internal Medicine Residency at the Atlantic City Medical Center in Atlantic City, NJ, receiving the James F. Gleason, MD Award for Academic Excellence in Medicine. Dr. Mohiuddin furthered his expertise with a Fellowship in Clinical Nutrition at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York, NY, and a Fellowship in Gastroenterology at Louisiana State University Medical Center in New Orleans, LA. Beyond his clinical practice, Dr. Mohiuddin is actively involved in gastroenterological research, particularly focusing on GERD. His comprehensive studies encompass topics such as nighttime recumbent reflux, the effects of an oral anticholinergic drug in various positions, and experimental investigations into acid burden and esophagitis.
