Originally from Punjab, India, Dr. Singh has a holistic, collaborative, and culturally competent approach to mental health care. He has a special interest in working with transitional-age youth, biological treatments for obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and providing gender-affirming and LGBTQIA+ mental health care. Dr. Singh’s research focuses on the efficacy of complementary and alternative medicine in mental health. Passionate about education and innovation, he has developed professional programs for clinicians and mentors medical students as an assistant clinical professor of psychiatry at California Northstate University College of Medicine. Dr. Singh actively contributes to nonprofit organizations such as the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) and the Sikh Health Network, where he leads community-based initiatives to reduce stigma and improve mental health care access. Outside work, Dr. Singh enjoys family time, gardening rare and exotic plants, exploring nature through photography, cooking, pottery, interior design, flower arranging, and event aesthetics.
