Care Philosophy: Dr Sarah Hoffe is the Section Head of GI Radiation Oncology at Moffitt Cancer Center and joined the faculty in 2006. She is a Senior Member at Moffitt and Professor in the University Of South Florida Morsani College Of Medicine's Department of Oncologic Sciences. Dr Hoffe's research and clinical interests include cancers of the esophagus, stomach, liver, pancreas, bile duct, rectum, colon, anus, as well as neuroendocrine cancers.

Care Philosophy: Dr Yu is board certified in Radiation Oncology and in Hospice and Palliative Medicine. His clinical interests include radiotherapy and stereotactic treatment for brain and spine tumors as well as radiotherapy for palliation to improve symptoms and quality of life in patients with advanced and metastatic cancers. His research interests focus on improving therapeutic outcomes using advanced radiation techniques including stereotactic radiosurgery and hypofractionated radiotherapy for brain and spine tumors. In addition, he has special interest in the integration of radiotherapy in palliative care to improve the quality and efficiency of palliative care.

Care Philosophy: Dr Jessica Frakes is an Associate Member in the Department of Radiation Oncology at Moffitt Cancer Center. She received her medical degree from the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine. Dr Frakes completed her Radiation Oncology Residency at the University of South Florida / Moffitt Cancer Center. Her clinical expertise encompasses the use of radiation therapy to help patients diagnosed with gastrointestinal cancers, including esophageal, gastric, pancreatic, hepatobiliary, rectal and anal cancer.

Care Philosophy: Dr Nam Tran is a neuro-oncology surgeon at Moffitt Cancer Center and assistant professor of oncology and neurosurgery at the University of South Florida College of Medicine. Dr Tran completed his fellowship training at Moffitt, following a residency in neurosurgery at Medical College of Virginia. He was chief resident his final year. Prior to that, he was affiliated for several years with the University of California-Irvine, where he received a Ph.D. in neuroscience and served as an assistant project scientist. Dr Tran's research interests include regulation of the blood brain barrier, tumor and trauma-associated cerebral edema, central nervous system malignancies and spine biomechanics.

Care Philosophy: Dr Aixa Soyano is an Assistant Member in the Department of Breast Oncology. Dr Soyano received her MD degree from Universidad Central de Venezuela/Escuela de Medicina in Venezuela. She completed an Internal Medicine Residency at Steward Saint Elizabeth's Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts. Dr Soyano recently completed a Hematology Oncology Fellowship at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida. Dr Soyano is interested in the multidisciplinary care of patients of any age and race with breast cancer of any stage and subtype. Her research interest is in the future of oncology related to personalized medicine.

Care Philosophy: Dr Heather Han is a Senior Member and Director of Clinical Research in the Department of Breast Oncology. Dr Han received her medical degree from Seoul National University College of Medicine in South Korea. Following her internship and residency in Internal Medicine at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Ohio, she completed the medical oncology and hematology fellowship at the University of Miami. She joined the faculty at Moffitt Cancer Center in the Department of Breast Oncology in 2008. Dr Han is the principal investigator of multiple clinical trials investigating novel therapies to improve the outcomes of patients of both early and advanced-stage breast cancer.

Care Philosophy: Dr Creelan earned his MD from Jefferson Medical College. He completed an Internal Medicine Residency at Thomas Jefferson University in the Department of Internal Medicine. Dr Creelan then completed a Hematology Oncology Fellowship at the University of South Florida at Moffitt Cancer Center anda Master's Degree in Clinical and Translational Research through the National Institute of Health K30-sponsored SPOR program. Dr Creelan will focus on translational and clinical research, specifically the development of new immune therapies, for the treatment of lung cancers. His research efforts aim to more effectively treat these cancers based on new insights into the biology of the disease.

Care Philosophy: Dr Russell Palm is an Assistant Member in the Department of Radiation Oncology at Moffitt Cancer Center. Dr Palm received his MD from University of Toledo College of Medicine and most recently completed a Radiation Oncology Residency at Moffitt Cancer Center/University of South Florida. Dr Palm's clinical expertise involves use of radiation therapy to treat patients with esophageal, gastric, hepatobiliary, pancreatic, rectal, and anal cancers.

Care Philosophy: Dr Khushalani is the Vice Chair for the Department of Cutaneous Oncology at Moffitt Cancer Center. Dr Khushalani's clinical interest is the development of novel therapeutics for people diagnosed with melanoma and other skin cancers. He is greatly interested in the treatment of uveal melanoma, and melanoma that has metastasized to the brain. Dr Khushalani is interested in research on angiogenesis in melanoma and the translation of findings into clinical therapeutics.He is studying the economic impact of new melanoma drugs on healthcare (pharmacoeconomics) with an aim to devise strategies to reduce cost.Dr Khushalani earned his MD from Topiwala National Medical College, University of Bombay, in Maharashtra, India.

Care Philosophy: Dr Zhang is a Genitourinary Oncologist and Interim Vice Chair of the Department of Genitourinary Oncology at Moffitt Cancer Center. He is also an Associate Professor of Oncology and Internal Medicine at the University of South Florida College of Medicine. His primary research interest is in integrating tumor evolution dynamics into the treatment for advanced prostate cancer. As the clinical research Director of Moffitt Cancer Center's Genitourinary Oncology Department, he has been the Principal Investigator (PI) and Co-Investigator of more than 50 phase I, II, and III clinical studies since joining Moffitt in July 2010.
