Biography: This physician is accepting telehealth visits. Dr. Sunil Reddy earned his Doctor of Medicine from the Saint Louis University School of Medicine, graduating with honors. He went on to complete his Internal Medicine residency at UCLA and his Cardiology and Cardiac Electrophysiology fellowships at Loyola University Medical Center in Chicago. He has been inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society, and has also been inducted as a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a Fellow of the Heart Rhythm Society. Dr. Reddy joined North Texas Heart Center in March 2019. Prior to that, he served on faculty at UT Houston where he was the Co-Program Director of the Cardiology Fellowship and Associate Program Director of the Cardiac Electrophysiology Fellowship. He also was the lead faculty for the Electrophysiology teaching service and ECG training for fellows, receiving yearly teaching awards. He also opened and built several new electrophysiology sites to bridge gaps in care in various Houston communities, and he is working on similar endeavors in the DFW community.Dr. Reddy is proficient in all aspects of Cardiac Electrophysiology. In addition to routine radiofrequency ablation and implantation of pacemakers and defibrillators, he further specializes in complex catheter ablation of atrial fibrillation and ventricular tachycardia, advanced device and lead management/extraction, and implantation of appendage closure devices. He will primarily practice in the Plano and Frisco locations, but will also be active in Dallas and McKinney.

Biography: Dr. Rajeev Joshi joined North Texas Heart Center in August 2013. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine and his fellowships in Cardiovascular Diseases and Advanced Cardiac Imaging at St. Luke's - Roosevelt Hospital in New York as part of the Columbia University System. His Advanced Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology training was completed at the University of California in San Diego. Dr. Joshi is proficient in all aspects of Electrophysiology including atrial fibrillation ablation, atrial flutter and PSVT ablation, and ventricular tachycardia ablation. In addition he implants pacemakers, defibrillators and cardiac resynchronization therapy devices, as well as, performs laser lead extraction. Dr. Joshi not only practices electrophysiology, but he is also board certified in Echocardiography and Nuclear Cardiology. Dr. Joshi is multi-lingual and speaks Hindi, Urdu and Kannada.

Dr. Bassiouny is trained in all aspects of clinical cardiac electrophysiology including catheter ablation of complex arrhythmias, placement of left atrial occlusion devices, and implantation and extraction of cardiac pacemakers and defibrillators. His areas of interest include ablation of atrial fibrillation as well as endocardial and epicardial ablation of ventricular tachycardia.Dr. Bassiouny earned his medical degree with honors from Cairo University. After the completion of his residency in Egypt, he joined the Cairo University Hospital as an attending physician. Dr. Bassiouny came to the United States to complete his Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. This led to a decade of additional training and research within the Cleveland Clinic which included a second residency, a cardiovascular fellowship, and an additional year of electrophysiology fellowship.Dr. Bassiouny's research interests include atrial fibrillation and cardiac pacing and resynchronization. He has led several studies examining the optimal anticoagulation and ablation strategies for patients undergoing atrial fibrillation ablation. He has published many articles in scientific journals, several of which were cited in the American and European guidelines for atrial fibrillation ablation and cardiac resynchronization. Additionally, Dr. Bassiouny has co-authored several book chapters on the ablation of atypical accessory pathways."As a Physician, I have a responsibility to my patients as well as to the field of medicine. Biography: Dr. Khaled Awad is a board certified cardiac electrophysiologist. Dr. Awad joins TCA as one of the nation's busiest and highly experienced physicians in the field of cardiac ablations. He offers extensive repertoire in complex interventions aimed at correcting heart rhythm disorders. Dr. Awad received his medical degree from the University of Mansoura, College of Medicine in Egypt. Dr. Awad pursued his graduate medical education in the United States. He completed his internal medicine residency program in Detroit at the Wayne State University / Detroit Medical Center, where he also served as a chief resident. Dr. Awad pursued his cardiology fellowship training at the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque where he also served as a chief fellow. While at that program, Dr. Awad partnered with the FDA committees to conduct research pertaining to the reliability of implantable cardiac defibrillators. His dream to pursue the highest level of training in the field of cardiac ablations, particularly the treatment of ventricular tachycardia, was realized when he joined the prestigious cardiac electrophysiology fellowship program at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. Dr. Awad joined faculty at the University of Alabama in Birmingham as an assistant professor where he continued to advance his research and teaching mission. Dr. Awad practiced at Mercy Hospital in St. Louis for almost a decade where he developed a nationally acclaimed program for complex ablations. Dr. Awad published several papers in the field of cardiac electrophysiology and presented his work in prestigious journals and professional conferences. Dr. Awad believes that his role is to enable his patients to live their life to the fullest by utilizing available technology and his interventional skills, in a way that emphasizes partnership in decision making.
