Dr. Maharaj joins us from Texas Tech University, Paul L Foster School of Medicine, where he was an Assistant Professor and attending physician in Hematology and Oncology at the University Medical Center, El Paso. Dr. Maharaj's clinical focus is on the treatment of gastrointestinal and head and neck cancers, including oral cavity, oropharyngeal, esophageal, gastric, colorectal, liver, pancreatic, and anal cancers. His research focuses on investigating the use of various biomarkers to better classify, treat and monitor cancer and the potential adverse effects of therapy.
