Care Philosophy: Dr. Baker is a board-certified pediatrician in practice since 1990. His experiences includes private, community-public health and academic pediatric care. He is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a Section Member of Developmental Pediatrics. He obtained his medical education at the University of Mississippi Medical Center and completed his pediatric residency at Emory University. Dr. Baker has additional developmental pediatric training from the University of Virginia. After his pediatric residency, Dr. Baker headed a community health clinic pediatric program and held academic positions at the University of South Alabama. Later, Dr. Baker moved to practice in Ocala, Florida while his wife attended graduate school at the University of Florida. Dr. Baker later attended a developmental pediatric program at the University of Virginia and thereafter returned to Mount Dora to practice.
