Fluent in English and Farsi, Dr. Ghalyaie performs an array of minimally invasive surgical procedures such as robotic surgery, laparoscopic surgery and transanal endoscopic microsurgery (TEM). She also is skilled in performing sphincter-preserving surgery for rectal malignancies and inflammatory bowel disease to avoid the need for a permanent colostomy.Dr. Ghalyaie completed medical school at Tehran University of Medical Sciences in Iran before moving to the U.S. for internship training at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas.
