Biography: Helai Hesham, MD is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and subspecialized in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery (Urogynecology). Dr. Hesham completed her fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital and Harvard Medical School. She provides individualized medical and surgical care for women with pelvic organ prolapse, urinary and fecal incontinence, overactive bladder, fistula, pelvic floor trauma and pelvic pain. Surgically she utilizes minimally invasive techniques including vaginal, laparoscopic, robotic and cystoscopic surgery. Dr. Hesham is passionate about helping care for women both locally and abroad and has specialized in obstetric fistula care in sub-Saharan Africa as well as international surgical training which she will continue here at Columbia.

Biography: Dr. Chetna Arora is a board-certified and fellowship-trained minimally invasive gynecologic surgeon at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center. She is a specialist in complex benign gynecologic surgery for the treatment of uterine fibroids, menstrual disorders, endometriosis, pelvic pain, ovarian pathology, and fertility surgery. Her AAGL-accredited fellowship provided Dr. Arora with the specialized training and expertise in the fields of advanced robotics, laparoscopy and hysteroscopy. Dr. Arora's primary goals are minimally-invasive approaches with a thoughtful focus on patient-centered care thus allowing the patient a quicker recovery, improved cosmesis, and greater patient satisfaction. After graduating from the University of Missouri-Kansas City accelerated School of Medicine, Dr. Arora completed her Ob/Gyn residency at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota followed by a three-year minimally invasive gynecologic surgery fellowship at Columbia University. During her fellowship, she excelled surgically and academically. She was and remains highly research-oriented with numerous publications and awards, notably a prestigious scholarly Jay M. Cooper award from AAGL. She is also an Associate Program Director for the Minimally Invasive Gynecology Surgery fellowship.

Care Philosophy: Krina was born and raised in Somerset, NJ. She completed a 6 year program at the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia where she earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy and Bachelor of Health Sciences degrees. Krina believes that it is important to work in an environment where there is constant motivation to grow and learn. She strongly believes the important of patient education and develops individualized care plans to allow her patients to be the most functional that they can and allow them to return to do things they enjoy and love. She has experience in working with all age ranges which includes both surgical and non-surgical cases within the orthopedic, pediatric, geriatric and school-aged populations. She has worked with those who have scoliosis in which she observed utilization of the Schroth Method. Krina enjoys spending time with her family and friends during her free time. She enjoys playing board/card games, binge watching shows, shopping and eating good food. Krina has a special interest in arts and crafts in which she spends time doodling and making personalized crafts with her Cricut maker!

Biography: Dr. Anita Beecham-Robinson is an established and highly skilled physician with over 15 years of experience. She is a graduate of the University of Miami School of Medicine. She completed her residency in family medicine at Montefiore Medical Center, Albert Einstein College of Medicine. She is a board-certified family physician who has been actively involved in medical school and residency training of future physicians. Over the past many years, Dr. Beecham has led the delivery of high-quality care within various healthcare organizations, she's a patient advocate and proponent of health equity for all. Professionally, her interests include preventive medicine, women's health, diabetes and cardiovascular disease. She enjoys getting to know her patients and developing relationships with them over time. When not at work Dr. Beecham is active in the community, she has volunteered with various organizations to improve health outcomes. She enjoys traveling, leisure sports and various outdoor activities.
