Care Philosophy: The field of interventional cardiology is advancing rapidly, and there are numerous exciting therapies on the horizon. State-of-the-art technology and improvement in techniques allow effective management of patients with coronary artery disease and peripheral vascular disease with minimally invasive procedures. In a collaborative effort with the physicians at Weill Cornell, I hope to provide our patients with the best care and make contributions in our patients' lives.

Care Philosophy: Our group of experienced interventional cardiologists and vascular/endovascular specialists offers a comprehensive, multispecialty, cutting-edge approach to the evaluation and care of patients with coronary, peripheral and carotid arterial disease, with an emphasis on a minimally invasive endovascular approach. As an academic interventionalist, researcher and educator my goal is to deliver the best possible care to our patients and to provide them with access to the most innovative, state-of-the-art technology for treatment of coronary, peripheral vascular and carotid disease.

Biography: Dr. Frederic Sardari is a board-certified cardiothoracic surgeon at RWJBarnabas Health, and part of the Northern Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery, operating out of Newark Beth Israel Medical Center and Saint Barnabas Medical Center. Dr. Sardari's current role is as Chief of Cardiac Surgery at Saint Barnabas Medical Center and as Vice Chair of the Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery. Dr. Sardari received his medical degree from George Washington University School of Medicine, Washington, DC; and he completed his residency in cardiothoracic surgery at Loma Linda University Medical Center, Loma Linda, California. His areas of interest include Minimally-Invasive Valve Surgery, Trans-catheter Valve Replacement(TAVR); and the treatment of Atrial Fibrillation. Dr. Sardari has been involved in overseas medical missions for many years. He has lectured and performed surgery in Latin America, China, and the Middle East. Prior to his current role, Dr. Sardari was Associate Staff Surgeon at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation Department of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery in Ohio.

Care Philosophy: My professional focus is equally directed on the direct care of patients intimately combined with teaching Fellows diagnostic and interventional therapeutic cardiac procedures in the catheterization laboratory. I consider it a significant privilege to work side by side with so many other experts in the provision of excellent health care. In particular Faculty status at Cornell provides me with the time and opportunity to practice the discipline of cardiac catheterization in the most professional manner. I greatly enjoy the responsibility of teaching Fellows the skills and importance of the catheterization laboratory. Combining this with an interest in clinically based outcomes type research completes my busy schedule.

Care Philosophy: The Perkin Heart Failure Center specializes in advanced systolic and diastolic heart failure, left ventricular assist device implantation, evaluation for cardiac transplantation, valvular disease and evaluation and treatment of pulmonary hypertension. We are committed to providing individualized patient care with a multi-disciplinary approach. As an academic cardiologist, researcher and educator my goal is to deliver the best possible care to our patients and to provide them with access to the most innovative therapeutics.

Biography: Dr. Reisman received his Medical Degree from Sackler School of Medicine, New York State Program. He did his Internship at Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in New Brunswick. He finished both Residency in Internal Medicine and Cardiology Fellowship at St. Luke's Roosevelt Hospital in New York. Dr. Reisman completed Interventional Cardiology at University of California San Diego Medical Center in San Diego.Dr. Reisman has a very productive career as exemplified by authorship and co-authorship of over 100 publications. Biography: Dr. Eyad Kanawati, MD is a Cardiology Specialist who practices in Langhorne, PA. He is 42 years old and has been practicing for 16 years. Biography: Michael Argenziano, MD, FACS, is Associate Chief of the Division of Cardiac, Thoracic, and Vascular Surgery at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Irving Medical Center. He also serves as the director of the Minimally Invasive Cardiac Surgery and Surgical Arrhythmia programs, director of the Cardiothoracic Surgery Research Laboratory and Clinical Research Program, and program director of the Cardiothoracic Surgery Residency program. Dr. Argenziano received his medical degree from Columbia University Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons, and completed his postgraduate training at Columbia University Irving Medical Center/NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. Dr. Argenziano is board certified in Surgery and Thoracic Surgery. He is the immediate past president of the New York Society for Thoracic Surgery. He has authored more than 100 publications, presented at numerous scientific conferences, and received several grants and awards for his research. He has led two national trials of robotic surgery, and his atrial fibrillation research has been supported by the TSFRE's Career Development Award. He currently serves as Columbia's principal investigator in the NIH/NHLBI Network for Cardiothoracic Surgical Investigations.

Biography: Peter Stempniewicz, MD is cardiologist at Einstein Medical Center. He specializes in echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, preventive cardiology, and general cardiology. Dr. Stempniewicz holds a degree in Biomedical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University. He received his medical degree from St. George's University School of Medicine. He completed his internal medicine residency at Drexel College of Medicine, Hahnemann University Hospital. He later completed his Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship at Drexel College of Medicine, Hahnemann University Hospital and Lankenau Medical Center. He also served as Cardiovascular Disease Chief Fellow at Hahnemann University Hospital. Dr. Stempniewicz is board-certified in cardiovascular medicine, internal medicine, nuclear cardiology, echocardiography, and cardiac CT. He is also a registered physician in vascular interpretation. He is a member of the American College of Cardiology. He is a reliable cardiologist who is interested in providing thorough and preventative cardiac care with a special focus on imaging modalities to help diagnose various cardiac conditions and guide treatment options for these conditions.

Care Philosophy: Dr. Fuster focuses on preventative medicine globally. He has created the SHE Foundation (Science, Health and Education) with the aim of improving total health in the population, especially young people. Dr. Fuster serves as an international advisor on Sesame Workshop's Global Health Initiative. The goal of the initiative is to measure health improvements in children and build global partnerships to address their critical health issues.

Care Philosophy: As a full-time faculty member at the New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical College, I practice general cardiology with a focus on prevention, women's heart disease, valvular heart disease and coronary artery disease. In addition to seeing patients in the office, I read and perform transthoracic and transeophageal echocardiograms in the hospital and serve as the Medical Director of the inpatient cardiac telemetry unit (4N).

She is currently an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University Medical Center and is a nuclear cardiology faculty member at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center. After graduating summa cum laude with a bachelor's degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 2003, she went on to complete medical school at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society in 2007. She subsequently completed her internal medicine residency, cardiovascular fellowship and an advanced cardiovascular imaging fellowship at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center, where she also served as a chief medical resident. During her advanced cardiovascular imaging fellowship, she gained expertise in SPECT, cardiac PET, viability testing, 99m technetium pyrophosphate scintigraphy, CT angiography, and calcium scoring. While at Columbia, Dr. Kinkhabwala has presented her research at both local and national conferences, and has co-authored several articles on cardiovascular disease that have appeared in publications including American Journal of Cardiology and Expert Reviews of Cardiovascular Therapy. Upon completing her training, Dr. Kinkhabwala joined Columbia as a clinical cardiologist with a particular interest in bringing the practical applications of state-of-the-art and highly specialized cardiovascular imaging techniques to the community. Dr. Kinkhabwala is board certified in cardiovascular disease, comprehensive echocardiography, nuclear cardiology, and internal medicine. She is an attending physician at both Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center and at Good Samaritan Hospital in Suffern, NY. She currently resides in New Jersey with her family. As a working mother of two, she understands how important one's health is to the well-being of one's family and hopes to help her patients live happy, healthy, and fulfilling lives.
