Biography: Ever since Dr. Javiera Syed learned that her sister has a rare genetic disease, she has wanted to make a difference for people in need of quality care. Knowing that seniors often require it the most, she says, "It brings me joy to be there for them not just as a physician, but also their compassionate friend.
