During his residency at Walter Reed Army Medical Center, he was awarded commendation for research he conducted on those injuries sustained during Operation Enduring Freedom, which was published and presented at national meetings. Following residency, Dr. Lin served as an orthopaedic surgeon and Chief, Department of Surgery at Bayne-Jones Army Community Hospital, which served the active duty, dependent and retiree population in and around Fort Polk, Louisiana (home of the Joint Readiness Training Center). He was also deployed during Operation Iraqi Freedom with the 31st Combat Support Hospital in 2007.Dr. Lin was born in Taiwan and raised in West Windsor, New Jersey.
