Biography: You might say that I come from a medical family: I am related to many nurses, and my uncle and cousin were both doctors. Following the careers of those relatives made me interested in pursuing medicine as a career myself. I am so happy that I did; as a board-certified internal medicine doctor, I get to help adults of all ages get better and stay as healthy as possible. \n With each patient, I work to encourage open dialogue. I find talking freely and giving patients opportunities to share their concerns and ask their questions encourages patients to be more involved in their care. I want my patients to stay engaged in decisions about their health, and to take responsibility for living a healthy life. This responsibility, combined with regular preventive care, leads to better outcomes. \n My wife and I are thrilled to make Hilton Head our home, and are enjoying raising our son here. Both my wife and son love water and sunshine, so living at the coast is ideal. Locally, we love trying out new restaurants. When we have more time, we love to travel and see our family.

Biography: I was always interested in science and medicine, but my passion for women's health really grew in medical school. Supporting a woman through childbirth will always be an amazing experience for everyone involved. \n As an OB-GYN hospitalist, I am fully dedicated to caring for patients in the hospital setting. That's where I spend 100% of my workday (and nights), which means I'm always available to provide safe, high-quality care to expectant moms. I help pregnant women through emergency care, labor and delivery and postpartum recovery. When needed, I also perform emergency gynecological surgery. \n I'm proud to be a member of the OB Safety Committee at Novant Health Hilton Head Medical Center. Our team is on a mission to reduce preventable maternal mortality. I'm also proud that during my residency, I was recognized by American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists for "Excellence in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery." \n I was born and raised on Hilton Head Island. (Yes, the vacation paradise does have full-time residents.) In my spare time, I love running - or just being - on the beach and traveling with family.
