Biography: Avinash Chandra, M.D. earned his medical degree at Osmania Medical College at the NTR University of Health Sciences in Hyderabad, India in 2001. Dr. Chandra completed training in Internal medicine, neurology and cardiology in the United Kingdom before moving the United States. He completed a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in cardiology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. Dr. Chandra has a broad training and experience in non-invasive cardiology, advanced heart failure, nuclear cardiology and cardiac rehabilitation. He has achieved level III training in echocardiography and has special clinical interest in using novel imaging methods such as 3D echo. He has conducted research in non-invasive and invasive cardiology. His research findings have been published in many peer-reviewed journals and presented at conferences.
