He joined his father's practice in 1998, and in 2016, Tampa Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine became a part of Florida Medical Clinic. Dr. Murphy is a board certified Orthopaedic surgeon and has his sub-specialty certification in Orthopaedic sports medicine. He has been a Team Physician for the New York Yankees since 2012, and has also served as a Team Physician for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers since 2015.
