Care Philosophy: Marco Antonio Rajo, MD is a bariatric and general surgeon who is board certified by the American Board of Surgery. He is fluent in Spanish and English and helps patients ages 18 and older using surgical and non-surgical treatment options. He has advanced training in obesity medicine and weight-loss surgery, as well as in complex gastrointestinal and hernia surgery. He specializes in minimally invasive laparoscopic and robotic techniques. Dr. Rajo was drawn to bariatric surgery because of the unique, lifelong patient-doctor relationship this specialty allows him to build. He places an emphasis on education, nutrition and exercise to move his patients toward their goals. He holds firm that surgery should not be considered an easy way out, but rather a tool that empowers patients to become the healthiest versions of themselves. In his spare time, Dr. Rajo enjoys experiencing different cultures through travel and cuisine. He enjoys live music, salsa dancing and spending time with his wife.

Biography: Dr. Dawson was born in Chicago, Illinois and raised in Temple Terrace. Her medical focus is on women's health issues and preventive care. She is active in working with high school, pre-med, nursing and medical students as they develop their careers. She is active on a local and national level with the Osteopathic Associations, and the American Women's Society of Surgeons. Dr. Dawson is married with three sons. She enjoys photography, scrapbooking, traveling and spending time with family.
