Biography: Dr. Emilio Araujo is a native Spanish speaker from Quito, Ecuador. He earned his medical degree from the prestigious Pontifical Catholic University of Ecuador in 2006. He completed his training in Internal Medicine in 2013 at the John H. Stroger Jr. Hospital of Cook County in Chicago, Illinois. After this, he moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico for his fellowship in Hematology and Oncology at The University of New Mexico Comprehensive Cancer Center. Throughout his training, he has earned several academic and humanitarian awards. Also, he has participated in different investigations in community-based participatory research, translational research, and clinical trials. He has presented the results of these studies at national and international conferences. Colleagues and team members highlight his dedication and empathy with patients. Dr. Araujo enjoys spending time with his family and loves the outdoor activities as well as the beautiful landscapes of New Mexico.
