Biography: Dr. Sotomayor is the director of the newly established Cancer Institute at Tampa General Hospital. He is a pioneer in the field of cancer immunology and immunotherapy and an internationally renowned expert in lymphoma research and treatment. Prior to joining Tampa General, he was the director of the George Washington University Cancer Center with responsibility and authority over all aspects of cancer care and research at GW and affiliated health systems. He was also a professor of medicine in the division of hematology/oncology at George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. Fluent in English and Spanish, Dr. Sotomayor specializes in the treatment of lymphomas and leukemias. The accomplished physician-scientist's ongoing research is directed toward cancer immunology and immunotherapy with special focus in developing novel immune-based approaches for the treatment of lymphomas and other hematologic malignancies. Considered as a world expert in mantle cell lymphoma (MCL), he has more than 140 publications including seminal discoveries published in top tier journals such as Nature Immunology, Nature Medicine, Blood, Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences, Cancer Cell among others. He has been the recipient of several awards, including the recipient of the National Cancer Institute (NCI) CURE Lifetime Achievement award in 2017. Dr. Sotomayor is involved in several major medical societies and organizations and currently is a member of the Scientific Advisory Board, Lymphoma Research Foundation, member of the Executive Committee of the Mantle Cell Lymphoma Consortium and member of several committees of the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR). He has also served in committees at the American Society of Hematology (ASH), the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) and the National Cancer Institute (NCI)

Care Philosophy: Dr Nishihori is a senior member in the Blood & Marrow Transplant and Cellular Immunotherapy (BMT CI) Department at Moffitt Cancer Center and is a professor in the Department of Oncologic Sciences at the University of South Florida. Dr Nishihori's clinical interests include autologous and allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplantation (HCT) as well as cellular immunotherapeutic approaches for the treatment of various hematologic malignancies including but not limited to multiple myeloma, plasma cell dyscrasias, amyloidosis, malignant lymphomas, acute and chronic leukemias, myelodysplastic syndrome, myelofibrosis and myeloproliferative disorders. He also performs autologous HCT for testicular cancer/germ cell tumor.

Care Philosophy: Dr Chatwal earned her MD at Florida State University School of Medicine. Care Philosophy: Dr Celeste Bello isa double board-certified hematologist and medical oncologist, and a senior member in the Malignant Hematology program at Moffitt Cancer Center. She joined the faculty at Moffitt Cancer Center in 2008 after completing her fellowship at the University of South Florida. Dr Bello has developed special expertise in managing patients with Hodgkin's and non-Hodgkin's lymphomas, a special category within the broader group of hematologic (blood) malignancies. Examples of non-Hodgkin's lymphomas include follicular lymphoma, marginal zone lymphoma, small lymphocytic lymphoma, diffuse large B-cell lymphoma, and mantle cell lymphoma.

Dr Eatrides earned her MD degree with a research focus at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine. She completed an Internal Medicine Residency and completed a Hematology and Oncology Fellowship at the University of South Florida and Moffitt Cancer Center. Care Philosophy: Dr Sharjeel Hooda is a Clinical Instructor-Member in the Moffitt Cancer Center Department of Satellite and Community Oncology. Dr Hooda is based at Moffitt International Plaza (MIP). Dr Hooda earned his MD and MS in Clinical Research at Emory University, Atlanta, Georgia. He completed an Internal Medicine Residency at Cleveland Clinic in Ohio where he also served as Chief Resident in Quality and Patient Safety. Dr Hooda completed a Hematology and Oncology Fellowship at the University of South Florida and Moffitt Cancer Center he also served as Chief Quality Fellow in Medicine.

Care Philosophy: Dr Creelan earned his MD from Jefferson Medical College. He completed an Internal Medicine Residency at Thomas Jefferson University in the Department of Internal Medicine. Dr Creelan then completed a Hematology Oncology Fellowship at the University of South Florida at Moffitt Cancer Center anda Master's Degree in Clinical and Translational Research through the National Institute of Health K30-sponsored SPOR program. Dr Creelan will focus on translational and clinical research, specifically the development of new immune therapies, for the treatment of lung cancers. His research efforts aim to more effectively treat these cancers based on new insights into the biology of the disease.
