Dr. Phillips then completed his neurosurgical residency from the University of Tennessee-Memphis.

He completed his residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of South Alabama in Mobile, AL and completed his fellowship in orthopedic trauma surgery in Scottsdale, AZ.

There, he trained with internationally recognized experts in the direct anterior approach for total hip replacement.?Dr. Shelley specializes in hip and knee replacement and reconstruction, employing the most current nonoperative and operative techniques to treat arthritic and complex problems of the hip and knee. This includes interests in anterior approach hip replacement, total and partial knee replacement, robotic assisted joint replacement, and revision surgery for failed joint replacements. ?When not serving his patients, Dr. Shelley enjoys spending time with his wife, Virginia, and their two children.
