Biography: Dr. Guy Klein is an Orthopedic Surgeon with fellowship training and expertise in both adult reconstruction (hip and knee replacement) and orthopedic trauma (the care of adult and pediatric fractures). Dr. Klein utilizes a muscle sparing, minimally invasive anterior approach for hip replacement to help patient go through the surgery process with less pain and a more rapid recovery. During his fellowship training at Charleston Area Medical Center, Dr. Klein developed expertise in complex primary and revision (re-do) hip and knee replacement. He was also part of the orthopedic trauma team at this busy level 1 trauma center that took care of many severe adult and pediatric fractures. Prior to fellowship training, Dr. Klein performed his orthopedic residency training at University Hospitals of Cleveland and attended medical school at Ohio University. Dr. Klein performs hip and knee replacement with minimally invasive and cutting edge techniques. He utilizes an advanced, ``state of the art`` protocol to help control patient's pain after surgery. Dr. Klein specializes in hip and knee joint replacement as well as adult and pediatric fracture care. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (AAOS), the International Congress for Joint Reconstruction (ICJR), and the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons (AAHKS). He has presented orthopedic research at national and international meetings. His many research articles and book chapters have been published in national orthopedic journals including the Journal of Bone and Joint Surgery (JBJS) and the Journal of Pediatric Orthopaedics.
