Biography: Dr. Contreras completed her undergraduate studies at Xavier University of Louisiana with a BS in biology. She then attended East Carolina Brody School of Medicine and completed her residency at East Carolina University-Pitt County Memorial Hospital, Greenville, NC. She is a member of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, the American Medical Association, and the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists. A native of Durham, North Carolina, Dr. Contreras moved to Southern Maryland in 2011. Dr. Contreras enjoys cooking, baking and traveling with her husband Dr. Contreras. She has two children Amaya and Roman and a cuddly hamster, Keko. Dr. Contreras has a special interest in high-risk obstetrics and posterior vaginal support.

Biography: Dr. Lea Moukarzel, MD is an Obstetrics /amp Gynecology Specialist who practices in Philadelphia, PA. She is 37 years old and has been practicing for 11 years. Biography: Dr. Argeles is the Chair of Obstetrics and Gynecology at UM BWMC. Dr. Argeles received his undergraduate degree from Duke University, a Master in Public Health from the University of South Florida and a Doctor of Medicine at the Ponce School of Medicine in Puerto Rico. He completed his internship and residency at Lehigh Valley Hospital in Pennsylvania, and was named OB/GYN Teacher of the Year several years in a row. Dr. Argeles is board certified and is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. He is specially trained to perform da Vinci robotic gynecologic surgeries and laparoscopic procedures. Dr. Argeles is an assistant professor of OB/GYN and reproductive science at the University of Maryland School of Medicine. He speaks fluent Spanish and has been a member of UM BWMC's medical staff since 2005.
