Care Philosophy: My philosophy for patient care has been to provide the ultimate care I am capable of. I completed fellowship training in sports medicine and fellowship training in foot and ankle surgery so I could assuredly deliver the type of care I would expect my family members to receive. I frequently tell patients that I will treat their shoulder, knee, or ankle as if it were my own. I enjoy a high success of treating many Orthopaedic problems non-operatively, with the confidence to treat surgically when needed.

Biography: Dr. Murphy is a native of Tampa. He is a graduate of the University of Florida College of Medicine and received his Orthopaedic training at Orlando Regional Healthcare System. He joined his father's practice in 1998, and in 2016, Tampa Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine became a part of Florida Medical Clinic. Dr. Murphy is a board certified Orthopaedic surgeon and has his sub-specialty certification in Orthopaedic sports medicine. He has been a Team Physician for the New York Yankees since 2012, and has also served as a Team Physician for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers since 2015.
