Biography: Dr. Roxanne Unger is a board-certified obstetrician and gynecologist. She treats a wide variety of obstetric and gynecologic concerns for people of all gender identities and ages, ranging from late adolescence to post menopause. From an obstetric standpoint, she strives to provide patients with healthy outcomes for both themselves and their babies. She supports patients throughout pregnancy, providing preconception counseling, prenatal care, miscarriage management, abortion care, vaginal and operative vaginal deliveries, vaginal birth after cesarean, routine cesarean deliveries, as well as emergent deliveries. In terms of gynecologic care, she provides routine services as well as care for gynecologic problems that arise between annual visits. Menopause and perimenopause issues, abnormal bleeding, vaginitis, undesired fertility, cervical dysplasia, contraceptive counseling, and ovarian cysts are some of the more common conditions that she treats. She prides herself in working to establish a trusting relationship with her patients and staying up-to-date with the most recent evidence-based medical guidelines. It is her goal to help patients feel empowered in their care and to help them make healthcare decisions with which they feel comfortable.

Biography: Dr. Christina Pardo is a board-certified Obstetrician and Gynecologist and serves as the Director for the Women's Health Practice, where she will work to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care.She graduated from Howard University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and received her Doctor of Medicine degree from Robert Wood Johnson Medical School at Rutgers University. She also completed an Master of Public Health degree with a focus in International Health at Boston University. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at SUNY Downstate Medical Center. From 2013-2018, she was an Attending Physician and Co-Director of Global Women's Health at Stony Brook Medicine. In 2018, she returned to Downstate Health Sciences University where she has served as both the Director of the Division of Health Equity and the Vice Chair of Quality and Innovation since 2020.Dr. Pardo has been published in peer-reviewed journals and publications on topics such as health equity in obstetrics and gynecology, social determinants of health, and the use of quality improvement to address perinatal health disparities. Dr. Pardo is also passionate about educating the next generations of health professionals about equity, patient centered care and quality improvement. Dr. Pardo has extensive experience in quality improvement and community based research for which she has been awarded both NIH and foundation grants.

Biography: Dr. Aylin Unsal is originally from New Jersey with roots in Istanbul, Turkey. She attended Georgetown University where she studied Biology of Global Health with a research focus. She then worked at the National Institutes of Health performing clinical research regarding effects of long-term HIV infection in perinatally-infected patients. She earned her medical degree from Rutgers-New Jersey Medical School with international clinical experiences in Guatemala and Turkey. She then completed residency training at Rutgers Health/Cooperman Barnabas Medical Center Program. During residency Dr. Unsal continued clinical research focusing on family planning in those with medical co-morbidities and continues to have an interest in the care of these patients.
