Biography: Nicole S. Belkin, MD, an orthopedic surgeon, sports medicine specialist with expertise in non-operative and operative treatment of injuries and conditions affecting the knee, shoulder elbow, and hip. Dr. Belkin earned her medical degree from the University of Florida School of Medicine and completed her residency in Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Pennsylvania. She conducted laboratory research for an additional year at the university and won the Orthopedic Research and Education Foundation's Resident Clinician Scientist Award. Her research received both national and international recognition. Dr. Belkin completed a fellowship in Sports Medicine and Shoulder Surgery at the Hospital for Special Surgery in New York. Through this advanced training, she gained experience treating articular cartilage injuries, meniscus injury and meniscus deficiency, ligament reconstruction, patellofemoral conditions, early arthritis of the knee, shoulder dislocations and separations, rotator cuff tears, shoulder arthritis, elbow injuries and hip impingement. She is an expert in minimally invasive and arthroscopic techniques and shoulder replacements. Her clinical focus is in the treatment of ligament, cartilage, meniscus and patellofemoral injuries of the knee; rotator cuff and labrum injuries and arthritis of the shoulder; injuries and overuse conditions of the elbow and labrum injuries and impingement of the hip. Dr. Belkin provides individualized state-of-the-art care to athletes of all descriptions. Biography: Shyla Kodi, MD, is a neurologist at NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Group Hudson Valley and an attending physician in the department of neurology at NewYork-Presbyterian Hudson Valley Hospital. She is board certified in neurology, epilepsy, sleep medicine, and clinical neurophysiology by American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. In addition to treating general neurological conditions, Dr. Kodi is a board-certified specialist in handling patients with various types of seizure disorders/intractable epilepsy and an array of sleep disorders, including obstructive sleep apnea, narcolepsy, restless leg syndrome, parasomnias, and insomnias. Dr Kodi is skilled at the treatment of intractable migraine headaches with Botox therapy and trigger point injections, which is also used in the treatment of muscle pain and muscle spasms.Dr. Kodi is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Neurology, American Academy of Sleep Medicine, and American Epilepsy Society.
