Biography: Dr. Moath Hamed is a movement disorders specialist at NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital. He graduated from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2009. He went to medical school at Weill Cornell Medical College in Qatar, completed his internship at Brooklyn Hospital Center, residency in neurology at the Barrow Neurological Institute in 2017, and movement disorders clinical research fellowship at the University of Alberta in December 2019. He is board certified in adult neurology and a junior member of the American Academy of Neurology and the Movement Disorders Society. He published several peer-reviewed research articles and presented abstracts at the American Academy of Neurology and the International Association of Parkinsonism and Related Disorders meetings.

Biography: Dr. Miran Salgado is a movement disorder specialist, the Chief of NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital, and the Medical Director of the American Parkinson Disease Association (APDA) Information and Referral Center. He graduated from the Medical College of the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka and completed residency training in internal medicine. In the U.S., he completed his neurology residency training at the SUNY Downstate Medical Center where he was Chief Resident. He also completed his fellowship in Movement Disorders at the Neurological Institute at Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center, and is board certified in Neurology and Vascular Neurology.

Care Philosophy: Dr. Siddiqi believes in an integrated, multi-disciplinary approach to non-operative management and prevention of sports injuries. His knowledge of physical rehabilitation techniques is augmented by his use of ultrasound for diagnostic and interventional-guidance purposes. He maintains active membership in several professional societies including the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine and Association of Academic Physiatrists, which allows him to stay on the cutting edge of evidence-based treatment principles. He works collaboratively with each patient to restore him or her to the highest level of function and desired activity.
