Biography: I became a sports medicine physician because I love helping active people move without pain - from high school or recreational athletes to the pros. \n I have experience as team doctor for a range of skill levels, including the Carolina Hurricanes of the National Hockey League, as well as sports teams at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, North Carolina Central University and High Point University. I was tournament physician for the Atlantic Coast Conference championship soccer finals in 2019. I have also published papers on the effectiveness of knee arthroscopy versus nonsurgical treatment of nontraumatic meniscus tears and on the use of the ultrasound in treating chronic tendon damage. \n My approach to healthcare is patient-centered.
