Biography: Dr. Ronald L. Drengler is a board-certified medical oncologist practicing with the START Center. He completed medical school in 1988, graduating with honors from the School of Medicine of the National University of Paraguay. He completed his internship at Michael Reese Hospital in Chicago, and his internal medicine residency at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. In 1996, he completed his fellowship in medical oncology. He has participated in multiple clinical trials through Southwest Oncology Group, the Minnie Pearl/Sarah Cannon Cancer Network, and pharmaceutical-sponsored studies. He has been named a Texas Super Doctor by Texas Monthly magazine for several years. He has also been named one of San Antonio's Top Doctors in San Antonio Scene each year since the award was established in 2005. He is fluent in Spanish.

Biography: Dr. Faheem Ahmed received his medical degree from Dow Medical College, Karachi, Pakistan. He completed his Internal Medicine training at Queens General Hospital, Mt. Sinai School of Medicine. He received his Hematology and Oncology training at the University of Cincinnati, Ohio. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology and Medical Oncology. After obtaining Hematology Oncology training he worked at Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland, Ohio. He moved to Texas and worked as medical oncology provider in a community practice and Veterans Affairs Medical Center.He joined Stem Cell Transplant and Cellular Therapy training at Sarah Cannon Transplant and Cellular Therapy Program at South Austin Medical Center as a fellow and completed his training. He had long affiliation Texas Transplant Physician Group at St. David's South Austin Medical Center where he became part of the team after completing his training.Dr. Ahmed specializes in treatment of hematologic malignancies, bone marrow transplant, CAR-T cell therapy to treat malignant and non-malignant blood and lymphoid disorders.Beyond his extensive training and expertise, Dr. Faheem Ahmed is deeply committed to the compassionate and attentive care of his patients. Biography: Dr. Tony Harb earned his medical degree at the Saint Joseph University in Lebanon. He then went on to complete his Internal medicine residency and a chief residency year at the University at Buffalo in New York, and a Hematology-Oncology fellowship at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ). He started his career at the Northern Light Cancer Care Center in Maine, where he was instrumental in expanding a comprehensive lung cancer program. He practiced there for more than 7 years with a focus on thoracic oncology and head and neck malignancies, and research interests in quality care and outcome metrics. He obtained a Master's in business administration from the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio.Dr. Harb is board certified in Internal Medicine, Hematology and Medical Oncology. He is fluent in French and Arabic.During his free time, he enjoys hiking and swimming with his wife and their two children. He practices primarily at the Medical Drive location.

Biography: Dr. Gladys Rodriguez is a medical oncologist with the START Center. She received her medical degree from the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine. She completed both her internship and residency at the Veterans Administration San Juan Medical Center in Puerto Rico. She completed her fellowship at the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio.Dr. Rodriguez's clinical interests include cancer treatment and new drug therapy for cancer. She served as principal investigator in multiple national and international Phase III clinical trials for cancer treatment. She also is a past president of the Texas Society of Clinical Oncology. Dr. Rodriguez has special interest in access to care for cancer patients and serves on the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Health Disparity Committee and the Workforce Advisory Committee.

Biography: Dr. Lisa Fichtel is a medical oncologist that has been in private practice with the START Center for Cancer Care for over a decade. She received her medical degree from UT Southwestern and went on to complete her internship, residency, and fellowship at the Baylor University Medical Center. She is board certified in medical oncology, and her clinical interests include malignant brain tumors and breast cancer. Dr. Fichtel has three children and is involved in various causes, including Women in Medicine & Law for the Cure®, an organization which raises funds for breast cancer research; S.L.E.W. (Support Lending for Emotional Well-Being), which provides supportive care for breast cancer patients; and the Oral Cancer Walk, benefiting patients with oral cancer.
