Biography: Dr. Julianne Lauring is board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Maternal-Fetal Medicine. She graduated from Boston University and received her M.D. from the Pennsylvania State University College of Medicine. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology and her fellowship in maternal-fetal medicine at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center.She was the Associate Residency Program Director for OB/GYN at Umass Chan Medical school from 2018 to 2020. She was awarded the faculty teaching award at Umass Memorial Health in 2019. She assumed the role of Maternity Center Medical Director at Umass Memorial Health in 2020. During her time, she implemented a significant number of quality improvement projects that improved patient care and patient experience.She is excited to join the team at Weill Cornell Medicine to continue the ongoing work. She is particularly interested in improving the ways we provide care while also enhancing the patient experience and reducing health disparities.

Biography: Paul Chapman, MD is currently the Chief Medical Research Officer for the Meyer Cancer Center at Weill Cornell Medicine and NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. Dr. Chapman received his M.D. degree from Weill Cornell Medical College in 1981 and trained in internal medicine as an intern and resident at the University of Chicago Hospitals and Clinics from 1981-1984. After that, he returned to New York as a medical oncology Fellow at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer where he focused on immunotherapy of melanoma in the laboratory of Dr. Alan Houghton. He joined the faculty of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC) in 1988 and worked there through 2023 as a tenured Attending Physician. During this time at MSKCC, Dr. Chapman led many clinical and laboratory studies designed to develop new and improved treatments for melanoma. This included the first BRAF targeted therapy trial and several immunotherapy trials. His research continues to focus on developing new treatments for melanoma.

Biography: Daniel Choi, MD, is an Instructor in Medicine at Weill Cornell Medical College and an Assistant Attending Physician at the New York-Presbyterian Hospital. Dr. Choi earned his medical degree from the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in New York in 2016. He completed his residency training in Internal Medicine at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx in 2019 and his fellowship training in Hematology and Medical Oncology at NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medicine in 2022.Dr. Choi is a physician-scientist conducting laboratory research focused on the stem cell biology of myeloproliferative neoplasms (MPNs). In addition to his laboratory research, he specializes in the clinical care of patients with myeloid malignancies including MPNs and leukemias at Weill Cornell Medicine.

Care Philosophy: My clinical interests include working with children with various blood disorders, such as sickle cell anemia, blood clotting disorders, and rare disorders called Myeloproliferative Neoplasms. I find it a privilege to be able to help families deal with their children's complex medical issues. Biography: Nora Chokr, M.D., is an Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Hematology and Medical Oncology at Weill Cornell Medicine/ NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital. She specializes in the care of patients with blood disorders who are in need of bone marrow or stem cell transplantation or cellular-based therapies, like chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy. Dr. Chokr received her medical degree from the American University of Beirut Medical Center in Lebanon in 2015. She completed her Internal Medicine residency at Yale New Haven Hospital and her Hematology/Oncology fellowship at SUNY Downstate Medical Center, where she served as a Chief Fellow. Subsequently, she completed an advanced fellowship in Bone Marrow Transplantation and Immune Effector Cell Therapy at Weill Cornell Medicine (WCM)/NewYork-Presbyterian (NYP) Hospital. Upon completion of this advanced fellowship training, Dr. Chokr was recruited to join the faculty of the WCM/NYP Bone Marrow Transplantation Program. Dr. Chokr's main research interests focus on increasing transplant access and optimizing outcomes in older patients. Her interests also include the prevention of disease relapse and graft vs host disease after transplant. Dr. Chokr is an investigator for several clinical trials that aim to advance the field. She has publications in leading international peer-reviewed journals, and is a member of the American Society of Hematology (ASH), American Society for Transplantation and Cellular Therapy (ASTCT), ASTCT Aging Special Interest Group, Cancer and Aging Research Group (CARG). Dr. Chokr is also involved in teaching medical students, residents and fellows.

Biography: Dr. Prabhu cares for women with all aspects of a high-risk pregnancy. She specializes in high-risk maternal medical conditions, including congenital and acquired cardiac disease, hypertension and preeclampsia, lupus, and thrombophilia and hematologic complications of pregnancy.She performs obstetric ultrasound and amniocentesis for prenatal diagnosis, and cervical cerclage placement for women at risk of premature birth. She also cares for women with twins and triplets, and performs twin vaginal deliveries ncluding breech extractions.Dr. Prabhu is a board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and board eligible in Maternal Fetal Medicine. She completed her residency training at the University of Washington in Seattle, WA, and her fellowship training at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston, MA.
