Dr Johnstone was appointed as Chair and William A Mitchell Professor of Radiation Oncology at Indiana University School of Medicine in 2007.

Dr Laronga enjoys making a difference in women's lives through her clinical practice and research. She treats women with all levels of breast disease, from benign cysts to metastatic breast cancer. Dr Laronga is a principal investigator for several ground-breaking procedures, including nipple and areola skin-sparing efforts after mastectomy and liposuction for arm lymphedema resulting from breast cancer treatment. She also conducts basic research in proteomics, the study of protein markers in tissue and blood.

After completing her residency, she was employed at Hospital Physician Services of Central Alabama as a Hospitalist. Dr Patel most recently completed a Hematology-Oncology Fellowship at the University of New Mexico.

Care Philosophy: Dr Melissa Anne Mallory is a Breast Surgical Oncologist at Moffitt Cancer Center. She attended the University of Virginia for both her undergraduate and graduate studies where she received a Distinguished Major's in Biology (BS) followed by a Doctor of Medicine (MD). Dr Mallory completed her surgical residency at Harvard's Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, MA and a R25 fellowship in Multidisciplinary Image-Guided Therapy focusing on image-guided innovations for breast surgical operations at the National Center for Image-Guided Therapy and the Brigham and Women's Hospital/Harvard Medical School. Following residency, Dr Mallory completed a fellowship in Breast Surgical Oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York.

Care Philosophy: Dr Sharjeel Hooda is a Clinical Instructor-Member in the Moffitt Cancer Center Department of Satellite and Community Oncology. Dr Hooda is based at Moffitt International Plaza (MIP). Dr Hooda earned his MD and MS in Clinical Research at Emory University, Atlanta, Georgia. He completed an Internal Medicine Residency at Cleveland Clinic in Ohio where he also served as Chief Resident in Quality and Patient Safety. Dr Hooda completed a Hematology and Oncology Fellowship at the University of South Florida and Moffitt Cancer Center he also served as Chief Quality Fellow in Medicine.

Care Philosophy: Dr Jennifer Eatrides is a member of the Moffitt Medical Group in the Satellite and Community Oncology Department practicing at Tampa General Hospital and Moffitt international Plaza. Dr Eatrides earned her MD degree with a research focus at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine. She completed an Internal Medicine Residency and completed a Hematology and Oncology Fellowship at the University of South Florida and Moffitt Cancer Center. Dr Eatrides has a particular interest in hematologic malignancies. The MMG faculty at TGH provides invaluable medical oncology services to the large patient population of this leading regional hospital.

Care Philosophy: Dr Sameh Gaballa is an AssociateMember in the Moffitt Cancer Center Department of Malignant Hematology. Dr Gaballa earned his MD from Aims Shams University in Cairo, Egypt. He completed an Internal Medicine Residency and a Hematology and Medical Oncology Fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He then completed a Stem Cell Transplantation and Cellular Therapy Fellowship at the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. Dr Gaballa previously practiced in the Thomas Jefferson University, Division of Hematologic Malignancies and Blood and Marrow Transplantation.

Care Philosophy: Dr Walker received her MD from University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. She completed an Internal Medicine Residency and a Hematology/Oncology Fellowship at the University of Rochester, New York. She joins us from The Ohio State University, where she served as a Professor in the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Hematology. Dr Walker's clinical interests are in the care of patients with myeloid malignancies, specifically acute myeloid leukemia and myelodysplastic syndromes. She is particularly interested in identifying ways to deliver care that maximizes resource utilization and achieves superior patient satisfaction.

Care Philosophy: Dr Rachid Baz is a board-certified hematologist and medical oncologist who came to Moffitt in 2008 from Cleveland Clinic. Currently, Dr Baz is the Myeloma Section Head in the Department of Malignant Hematology at Moffitt Cancer Center and co-Director of the Pentecost Family Myeloma Research Center. He has developed a special expertise in managing patients with plasma cell disorders such as multiple myeloma, monoclonal gammopathy of undetermined significance (MGUS), plasmacytoma, primary systematic amyloidosis, and Waldenstrom's macroglobulinemia (WM). Among other awards, he was the recipient of the Junior Clinical Science Award at Moffitt, and the University of South Florida Outstanding Resident Teaching Award.

Care Philosophy: Dr Andre Beer Furlan is a skull base and endovascular neurosurgeon at Moffitt Cancer Center and Assistant Professor of Oncologic Sciences at the University of South Florida. Dr Beer Furlan earned his MD and PhD degrees from the University of Svo Paulo (FMUSP), a top ranked university in Latin America. He completed the neurosurgery residency at the same institution and practiced as a neurosurgeon and skull base surgeon in Sao Paulo, Brazil before moving to the United States.

Care Philosophy: Dr David Joyce is an Assistant Member in the Sarcoma Department. Dr Joyce earned his MD degree from Case Western Reserve University, Case School of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio. He completed an Orthopaedic Residency at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Ohio and an Orthopaedic Trauma Fellowship at Vanderbilt University, Nashville, Tennessee. He most recently completed a Musculoskeletal Oncology Fellowship at Moffitt Cancer Center.

Care Philosophy: Dr Sophie Dessureault is a surgical oncologist in the Department of Gastrointestinal Oncology at Moffitt Cancer Center. She is a professor of oncology and surgery at the University of South Florida Morsani College of Medicine. Dr Dessureault graduated with distinction from Dalhousie University School of Medicine in Halifax, Nova Scotia. After medical school, she pursued additional training at the University of Toronto where she completed both a surgical residency and a PhD in the Surgical Scientist Program. Dr Dessureault came to Moffitt Cancer Center in 1999 for a fellowship in Surgical Oncology.
