Biography: Eric Silver, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics who upon completion of his training in pediatric cardiology went on to advanced training in arrhythmia management in children and patients with congenital heart disease. He is a certified specialist in pediatric electrophysiology. His research has focused on invasive management of AV nodal reentrant tachycardia in children, a form of supraventricular tachycardia, the safety of a medication to treat arrhythmias in children who have had heart transplants, and he has participated in various research projects through the Pediatric Heart Network. He is active in teaching cardiology fellows, pediatric residents, and medical students at Columbia University Medical Center.

In addition, he completed Level II training in Nuclear Cardiology, Echocardiography, and Transesophageal Echocardiography. His areas of focus include Interventional Cardiology and Peripheral Vascular Disease. Dr. Wingfield is the current President of the Medical Staff, Director of the Cardiac Cath Lab, Chairman of the PCI Task Force and serves as a member of the Medical Executive Committee, the Credentialing Committee, Medicine Peer Review, Medical Quality Council, and Utilization Review at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital-Hamilton. He was previously the Chairman of the Department of Cardiology and Secretary/Treasurer at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Hamilton. He is also the former Medical Director of the Vascular Lab, former member of the Utilization Management and previously served on the Pharmacy & Therapeutics Committee at St. Francis Medical Center.
