My writings on the topic have been published by the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and I have presented my work in this area to medical societies and conferences on four continents. \n I am the recipient of five National Institutes of Health research grants for surgical innovation and have served as a clinical instructor at the department of obstetrics and gynecology at Wake Forest University since 1994. \n Outside of work, I enjoy spending time in the great outdoors with my wife of over 30 years and three kids. Whether it is the Blue Ridge Parkway or the beaches of Wilmington, it feels wonderful to be a part of Mother Nature. I enjoy snow skiing and was an instructor in a past life (as a teenager) and am passionate about fishing in both fresh and saltwater.
