Dr. Heather Williams understands the importance of how her patients use their hands, and she strives to provide high-quality, individualized care to every patient who enters her office. As an orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Williams looks beyond the obvious to help her patients find the answers and treatment they need. Dr. Williams' clinical focus is the treatment of the hand, wrist and elbow. She specializes in fracture care, steroid injections and surgical intervention. Whether a patient is suffering from trigger finger, arthritis, carpal tunnel or more—Dr. Williams provides expert treatments to get her patients back to the active lifestyles they love. Dr. Williams is a graduate of Indiana University Medical School and completed her fellowship training in hand and microvascular surgery at the University of Miami. She is board-certified by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery. Dr. Williams speaks Spanish fluently and is proud to have cared for the veterans of Indiana.

Care Philosophy: In treating patients, I believe taking the time to listen and understand is most critical. While it is certainly important to correctly diagnose the cause of bone or joint pain, it is equally important to understand how this pain affects a patient's life and activities. This information allows us to discuss treatment options and tailor our shared treatment decisions based on specific goals. I always consider nonsurgical as well as surgical options. Treatment without surgery is often possible, and I will make every effort to treat conditions in the least invasive, most effective manner. If surgery becomes necessary, I want my patients to feel well informed, comfortable with their decision, and satisfied with every step of the process.
